The Garrett ACE Apex with MS-3 Wireless Headphones is the cordless way to run Garrett's Multi-Flex multi-frequency platform. This bundle adds the Garrett MS-3 Z-Lynk wireless headphones to the Apex and the larger 8.5 inch by 11 inch DD Raider waterproof searchcoil, so you hear every target with no cable to snag on brush or your dig tools.
The Apex pairs to the MS-3 over built-in Z-Lynk, Garrett's own wireless link that responds up to 6 times faster than standard Bluetooth, so audio stays in step with the coil. Multi-Flex lets you select a single frequency of 5, 10, 15 or 20 kHz, or a simultaneous Multi-Frequency or Multi-Salt mode. Six search modes, Zero, Coins, US Coins, Jewelry, Relics and Custom, plus Pinpoint, cover coins, jewelry, relics and the beach, and the backlit LCD shows a large 0 to 99 target ID with coin depth.
Everything stays light for a full day out. The Apex weighs 2.5 lbs (1.13 kg), the aluminum shaft adjusts from 40 inches to 53 inches (1.0 m to 1.35 m) and the built-in lithium-ion battery runs up to about 15 hours on a micro-USB charge. The bundled MS-3 headphones are full size and over the ear with soft cushions and an adjustable headband, and they fold flat for transport. They pair to the Apex over Z-Lynk wireless, so you can cut the cord and still hear faint targets clearly.
