Garrett ACE Apex Multi-Frequency Metal Detector
The Garrett ACE Apex is a simultaneous multi-frequency metal detector that brings Garrett's Multi-Flex technology to the ACE line. This configuration pairs the Apex with the larger 8.5 inch by 11 inch DD Raider waterproof searchcoil and its coil cover, so you get more ground coverage and depth than the standard coil. It is set up for coin shooting, jewelry hunting, relic recovery, beach detecting and shallow water searching.
Multi-Flex runs on a broad-bandwidth digital platform, so you can pick a single frequency of 5, 10, 15 or 20 kHz to favor a specific target, or switch to a simultaneous Multi-Frequency or Multi-Salt mode to read all targets in all soils. Six search modes, Zero, Coins, US Coins, Jewelry, Relics and Custom, plus Pinpoint, let you tune the Apex to the site, and the backlit LCD shows a large 0 to 99 target ID with coin depth.
The Apex stays light and simple in the field. It weighs 2.5 lbs (1.13 kg), the aluminum shaft adjusts from 40 inches to 53 inches (1.0 m to 1.35 m) and the built-in lithium-ion battery runs up to about 15 hours on a micro-USB charge. Multi-Flex Simultaneous Multi-Frequency
Multi-Flex lets the Apex run a single frequency to chase a specific target, or a simultaneous multi-frequency mode to read every target in every soil. Lower frequencies favor larger conductive finds, higher frequencies favor small low-conductivity targets like fine jewelry.
Six Search Modes, Pinpoint and 0 to 99 Target ID

The Apex is weatherproof and the Raider searchcoil is submersible, so you can hunt creeks, lake edges and the surf line where coins and jewelry collect. Keep the control housing above the water line.

Garrett offers four DD Multi-Flex coils for the ACE Apex. This package ships with the 8.5 inch by 11 inch Raider, and you can add a smaller Viper or Ripper coil or the larger Reaper coil later to match the coil to your ground and target size.
