The Garrett Axiom 11 x 7 in Mono search coil is the compact mono coil for the Garrett Axiom pulse induction gold detector, and it is the hot coil for tiny gold. The small mono winding gives the strongest response to sub gram pickers and fine gold, and the small footprint threads through brush, rock piles and creek edges that block a larger coil.

Mono coils run a single winding, so they push more sensitivity and depth on small targets than a DD coil of the same size. They do not provide iron ID, so every signal is a target to check, which is the trade for that extra punch on small gold. This is also the mono coil that ships in some Axiom packages.

The coil is fully waterproof and submersible and ships with a snap on cover to protect the bottom from rock and abrasion. It fits the Garrett Axiom and carries Garrett's 3 year limited warranty.

What's Included:

  • Garrett Axiom 11 x 7 in Mono search coil
  • Snap on coil cover

Features

Hot on Sub Gram Gold
The compact mono winding gives the strongest response to the smallest gold, reaching pickers that wider coils sweep over. It is the coil to reach for when the targets are tiny and faint.

Nimble in Tight Ground
The small footprint moves through brush, rock piles and creek edges where a larger coil cannot swing. It is the coil for cleaning up worked patches and detailing ground a big coil has already covered.

Mono Sensitivity for the Axiom
Mono coils pair with the Axiom Ultra-Pulse engine for nugget hunting in mineralized soil. They run hot on small gold and reach targets a discriminating coil would never sense, with no iron ID in exchange.

Waterproof and Ready for the Garrett Axiom
The coil is fully waterproof and submersible for wet ground, creek edges and shallow water. It is built for the Garrett Axiom and connects directly with no adapter.

FAQ

Q: What is the 11 x 7 in Mono coil good for?
A: It is the compact hot coil for tiny gold. The small mono winding gives the strongest response to sub gram pickers, and the small size threads through brush and rocks where larger coils cannot swing.

Q: Should I pick the Mono or the DD-FC version of this coil?
A: Pick Mono for the strongest response to small gold in clean to moderate ground. Pick DD-FC for better target separation, more stability in very hot soil and the Axiom Iron Check tone ID.

Q: Does the Mono coil give iron ID?
A: No. Mono coils trade iron ID for sensitivity and depth, so every target reads as a dig. For tone based iron ID you need a DD-FC coil.

Q: How does it compare to the 13 x 11 in and 16 x 14 in mono coils?
A: The 11 x 7 in is the most sensitive to tiny gold and the easiest to handle, but it covers less ground and reaches less deep. The 13 x 11 in balances both and the 16 x 14 in reaches deepest with the most coverage.

Q: Is the coil waterproof and does it include a cover?
A: Yes. The coil is fully waterproof and submersible and ships with a snap on cover. The Axiom control housing is not submersible, so keep the control box dry.
